Samedi 11 Janvier nous avons eu le plaisir d’être invités par une nouvelle organisation Hardtek Holland pour une soirée du Label de BILL-X « U can’t stop the rave » co-organisée par Kick-Addict et Stampgevaar. Cette soirée se déroulait dans le club PKHS de Tilburg et, inutile de faire durer le suspense plus longtemps, ce fut un gros succès !
Pour cet évènement, Kick-Addict, Stampgevaar et Hardtek Holland ont choisi d’être ambitieux et ont confié à BILL-X le soin de gérer la line up : il a réuni une partie de son quatuor FANTASTIK avec FLOXYTEK et MAT WEASEL BUSTER (manquait juste GUIGOO), des artistes internationaux tels que l’anglais VANDAL, certainement le plus grand nom de la scène Raggatek ainsi que le japonais TANUKICHI, les français BINARY SQUAD et l’hollandaise DEMENCIA, la talentueuse nouvelle recrue de Frenchcore s’il vous plait.… bref un line-up à ne pas rater.
La soirée a débuté par le gagnant du concours DJ F!XX-IT, le public commençait juste à arriver mais il régnait déjà une bonne ambiance.
À 22h30 c’est au tour de VANDAL pour un set de 90 minutes. Et quel set monstrueux ! De superbes transitions, un mix entre ses dernières productions (Kaotik 16-17) et ses anciens morceaux, qui donnent la pêche au public qui chante et danse sur chaque refrain. Un set maitrisé techniquement du début à la fin, peut-être le meilleur de la soirée.
Minuit, c’est au tour du duo BINARY SQUAD. Oscillant entre Raggatek et Hardtek, ce fut un live énergique et bien construit. Un peu de stress au début avec une installation compliquée sur scène, mais passé le premier quart d’heure, ils se feront plaisir ainsi qu’au public.
À 01h00 c’est TANUKICHI qui prend la relève avec un set énorme ! Beaucoup de transitions, de jeux entre les morceaux… C’est vraiment un artiste intéressant à voir jouer, qui tente beaucoup de choses et donne beaucoup d’énergie ! J’ai adoré son set Hardtek, Hardfloor et Frenchcore.
Ensuite ce sera au tour de MAT WEASEL BUSTER de passer derrière les platines pour une heure de folie. Un mix entre les tracks de son dernier album plutôt Hardtek, et ces dernières productions plus Hard. Du vrai bonheur pour les oreilles et un régal d’entendre finalement « Drop Bigger » en soirée !
L’artiste suivant aura certainement eu la meilleure année de sa carrière en 2019 avec l’explosion de son nouveau style : « Hardtek to hardpsy to Frenchcore ». Je parle évidemment de BILL-X qui proposera un set avec des morceaux provenant de tous ses genres musicaux.
DEMENCIA et FLOXYTEK finiront la soirée en beauté à 06h00 du mat’ avec encore une grande partie du public qui danse et en redemande.
Le club se situe à 5 minutes de la Gare de Tilburg, il y a des auberges et hôtels à proximité. Le club est sympa avec un bon Sound system. Pas de sorties définitives, ce qui permet de sortir prendre l’air, manger un morceau… et il y a une deuxième salle avec un volume et rythme plus chill.
Le prix des consommations était classique pour ce type de lieu, vraiment correct.
Pour moi et pour les personnes à qui j’ai pu demander sur place (public comme artistes et organisateurs) cette soirée à été une belle réussite, et on ne peut que souhaiter le meilleur à Kick-Addict et Stampgevaar pour leurs prochains events. Un grand merci à Hardtek-holland pour leur invitation, leur motivation et leur activisme ! Qui sait un jour un partenariat avec Hardcore France…

On Saturday 11th january, I had the pleasure to be invited at a party organized by Kick-Addict and Stampgevaar with the support of Hardtek Holland to celebrate Billx label : ‘’U can’t stop the rave’’. This party took place at PKHS club in Tilburg, and to kill the suspense right now, I can tell you that it has been a huge success!
For this event, Kick-Addict, Stampgevaar and HArdtek Holland didn’t start small, but decided to go BIG with a really attractive line-up constituted by famous internationals DJ’s and some locals : Vandal, certainly the biggest name in Raggatek scene since many years, Mat Weasel Buster, Floxytek and Billx all members of Fant4stik formation but also Binary Squad, Tanukichi …
The evening opened with DJ’s contest Winner F!xx-it, the crowd was slowly feeling-up the club and we could already feel a good vibe inside. At 22.30 it was time for a 90 minutes set by Vandal. And what a massive set! Nice transitions, amasing playlist: mixing his last tracks (Kaotik 17) with some really old school, giving the crowd huge energy. Technically perfect from A… to Z. Maybe the best set of the evening!
Binary Squad will follow with en energetic hardtek live. A little stressed at the beginning, they will finally go over it and offer us a nice live! 01.00 Tanukichi starts a massive, and really technical set with lots of transitions and tracks for the pleasure of public! This artist is really interesting to see mixing, trying lots of things and giving lot of energy. I loved his set jumping from hardtek to hardfloor to frenchcore…
Then come Mister Mat Weasel Buster at the decks for one hour of madness! The best tracks from his last album (more hardtek), mixed with his more recent productions. What a pleasure to hear Drop Bigger live!!!
Then maybe the artist that had the biggest year of his career in 2019. Billx! In fact since 2018 his productions before typically hardtek turned to Hardcore, Frenchcore but also Psytrance and Hardpsy… and it is a big success. He offered a nice set to the public playing tracks from all these different styles.
Demencia and then Floxytek will end-up the show a 06.00 with the biggest majority of public still present jumping and dancing!
The club is 5 min walk from the station, close-by hostels and hotels. The club is cool with a nice soundsystem. It offers the possibility to go ‘’in and out’’ to take fresh air, have some food, cigarette… and a second room with some more relaxing music/vibe. The price for drink was classic for this kind of party, really not so expensive.
For me, and everyone I did ask during the evening (artists and public), this first edition was a success with a MASSIVE energy. BIG UP Kick-Addict and Stampgevaar, we can only wish you the same success for your next events!
